Have you Created your Bucket List?

A lot of people talk about the places they’d like to go, things they’d like to do, or the food they want to eat. But most people don’t actually have it written down.

Does that even matter? YES!

When you write it down it helps you visualize it. My husband and I wrote down our lists separately. There’s things we have in common, but there’s more that’s different than the same.  For example, he wants to visit every single major baseball field in the world. I am not a baseball fan so this would’ve never crossed my mind. Anyways, we both have our lists.

When we go on vacation, we try to do something from each list. This way vacations are really for both of us. It’s not something where I feel like he liked vacation more or I did, it’s something we’re both enjoying.

Place your list somewhere you can see it everyday.

When you see it everyday you can visualize. You can remember why you wake up every morning. I recently took down the list and put it in a book. But placing it where you can see it everyday is better. So I’ll definitely be doing that again.

Now, my bucket list is somewhat a bit random. I actually don’t call it my bucket list, I call it my Someday/Maybe list. I got this concept from a book I read “Getting Things Done” by David Allen.

I wanted to share a bit of some of the stuff I have on my list. It’s divided in separate sections.

Have you cross off anything off your list?

My list is probably not the most exciting list you’ll ever see, but I have one. I am working hard to cross things out from them. And I have! This list out in the open lets me visualize my goals and why I get up every morning. It let’s me remember why I do the things I do.

This Oprah quote is right on. She’s a genius if you ask me. So take it from her. Get up everyday and work, it might not be the greatest but it’s something that will get you to where you want to be. It’ll help you do what you want to do in the future. It’ll help you cross off the things from your bucket list.

Have you created your bucket list? Why don’t you share it with us and give us ideas. If not the whole thing, maybe just parts of it like I did.

I like how you have categories within your list. My husband and I have just recently fleshed out and started working on our Bucket List goal of seeing all 50 states together. Since we’ve officially started, we’ve done 5. 🙂

(I left comments on some of your other posts a few days ago, but I’m not sure you ever got them….?)

Oh that’s a great one. 50 states. There’s always something pretty to see.
And I just checked and for some reason they went straight to the trash part. IDK what happened. but got them all out. Thanks and sorry about that.
