Seriously, this is super easy. I was amazed at how quickly I finished this easy Christmas wreath DIY project.
For this, you will need the following:
- A metal hanger (like the type you get at the dry cleaners)
- Round ornaments (whatever color you decide)
- A bow
- A wreath hanger
And that’s it! Did I say this was an EASY Christmas Wreath DIY or what.
First, get your hanger and shape it into a circle. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Once you put the ornaments you can’t tell. But make it as much of a circle as you can.
Separate it at the top. I believe there are some pliers that could easily help you with this but I didn’t have any. I managed to use a pair of scissors but don’t remember how… ?? Blackout moment? Who knows. So to be on the safe side get some pliers to help you with this. Don’t want anybody getting hurt here.
Next, insert the ornaments one by one into the hanger. My ornaments had some loop thing that the hanger could fit right in. At first, they’ll just start going in a single line. So just move them around and have some go front and some go back. Towards the middle they each start falling to where they should go. And this way, you get the full wreath feel. Don’t worry you can’t see the hanger at the end.
Now, close the hanger back how it was. And use the pliers again. I had two containers of 41 ornaments each. Here’s a picture so you can see about how many I have left. I think I used around 60 ornaments – give or take.
Add a bow. I had mine already from last year. It’s one of those easy bows you just clip on the back. But you can totally go fancier with a nicer, bigger bow.
Finally, hang and enjoy! Possibly the easiest Christmas Wreath DIY out there. Just saying.
As a bonus this was basically free. I had extra ornaments that I’m not using this year. The hanger was free. I had the bow from last year too. And I found the wreath hanger at the 99 Cent Store. So basically I got this wreath for a dollar. $1!
That’s amazingly amazing.
So on top of it being an easy Christmas wreath DIY, it’s also cheap and quick. It took me a total of 30 minutes I believe. And really that was mainly because I couldn’t get the hanger to open but we can talk about my weak biceps some other time.
Don’t be afraid to mess around with the idea. Use big and small ornaments. And play around with the colors too. I was pretty skeptical at first, so I was playing it safe. But I still love the end result.
Hope you enjoyed this easy DIY. I know I did. And let me know if you have any other tips on how to make easy wreaths for Christmas. Can’t wait to read what you all have to say.
P.S. I know Thanksgiving hasn’t passed yet and I’m already talking about Christmas. Don’t mean to get on anybody’s nerves there. I just can’t wait. =D
